At various places like Wal-Mart, Target or Snapfish.com you can send them a picture and have them make you a holiday season photo card for .23 cents a copy or more. Why do that when you can make your own for .9 cents a copy?
I just spent 10 minutes & very little effort making this holiday photo card -which will never go to print- that I could -if I had any inkling at all-, email to Wal-Mart for .9 cents a copy, instead of those pricey “designer” prints.

Here’s how…
1. Go to snapfish (or other similar place where designs abound) & choose a design you like which you will try & imitate.
2. Search online using google images for various free pictures, backgrounds or clip art that you want to use in your card. For example, I nabbed this image from a google search for Christmas trees…
It doesn’t have an extremely high resolution but since I was making a smaller image you probably wouldn’t be able to tell if I printed it.
3. Open up Microsoft Publisher or Pages for Mac. Use the card making option.
4. Design your card to look like the design you liked. I used a combination of 2 cards for my inspiration.
5. Export the file as a PDF.
6. Open it as a PDF & then re-save it as a high quality JPEG image.
7. Open the JPEG in your image editing software & crop it to a 4×6 image.
8. Wallah! Email your cropped JPEG image to the cheapest retailer around you for 1/3 of the price!
OR… you can send your image to me & I’ll make you one for $10. Only kidding, if I like you I’ll do it for $5.
Happy Holiday Season Christmas Card Making…
