The Doc told me to give him what ever I yeild at a pumping session --which is 7-8 oz. It's likely everyitme I nurse he's getting 9oz. per nursing session at 7am, 10:30am, 2pm, 5:30pm, & 8:30pm. (3 nursing sessions & 2 bottles). It seems like a lot to me too, but he rarely ever spits up which I know can be an indicator of over feeding. He's in the 97% for height & weight. Perhaps he's in a growth spurt! Ransom also ate this much at this age, so I don't know maybe my kids are just huge eaters! Sorry to hear about Jesse being sick ;( and glad he's sleeping better too! I don't know what is wrong with my son. There is no way he eats anywhere close to that much in a day. At 6 months he was eating 4 ounces 8 times a day and they told me that was right. At 8 months he was eating 4 ounces 6 times a day plus solids. He's such a shrimpo and now that he's sick, it's breaking my heart. I have to pump just to keep up milk production because he won't eat much. I was hoping to get a good read on how he's growing at his 9 month appointment in a week, but now it won't be too accurate with this darn virus he had.
