RHYS:

Last night our little Reesey-Bear had his first serving of…

rice cereal!

rice cereal!

At first it was all so very confusing…

What is this, Mama??

What is this, Mama??

But eventually he warmed up to up nicely…

well, now that's not too bad afterall!

well, now that's not too bad after all!

He even started crying in between bites, anticipating the next one…

RANSOM:

Our little handsome Ransom built & conquered his first

First snow castle!

"super hero snow castle fortress"!

This may be the first year Ran has enjoyed actually playing in the snow as opposed to around the snow.  He goes out to help Daddy shovel -usually later in the evening hence the dark picture- and then Daddy helps him play.  This time they built a giant snow fortress / castle.  He was out there for two hours doing this…

sliding down, climbing up, sliding down, climbing up...

sliding down, climbing up, sliding down, climbing up...

And when he came in, he promptly did this…

*note the anger around one leg, stuck on the other sock :)

*note the hanger around one leg, stuck on the other sock :)

Which was nice because at the same time, Rhys was doing this…

GRACE:

As I mentioned in my last post, I lead my first Regional Black Student Conference

IGNITE! 2010

IGNITE! 2010

…and I’m still so elated at both how well it went and the quality and maturity of students who attended.

I finally brought myself to read the student evaluations and it was rated very high all around!  I held my breath as I looked at the first one.  As it turned out the very first one I looked at was one sweet young lady who gave my talk a “10″ out of 5. :)   The next was one was a “3.”  The contrast reminded me two things: 1) perspective & 2) it’s not about you.

Finally, on March 10 I’m getting my first ever kinky twists…

gorgeous aren't they?

gorgeous aren't they?

Except mine will be a little longer so I can throw them back into a ponytail.  I did a lot of research and a lot of thinking about the best hairstyle to get for our little 10 yr. anniversary Mexico rendezvous in a couple weeks as well as a low maintenance hairstyle to carry me through all my work travels until mid-May.

Your family pics just keep getting better and better!!!

Kinki Twists are awesome as well. I braid my hair that way all the time because I think they look better on natural hair. I bet they are going to look great in your hair girlie!!

Have a wonderful day!

Grace-
Your post are SOOOOOOOOOOO fun to read!!!! Amazing how big Rhys is getting. It seems like yesterday he was just a newborn!!!! And lil Ransom is growing so Big as well!!!! You are making me have severe baby fever!

On another note…. Kinky twist are wonderful. i have been wearing them since Sept 2009. I get them redone about every 2 1/2 months. I will take them down late March and dye my hair and get used to it. bcause i am in my cuzzo’s wedding in May and she doesn’t want me to wear braids. urgh…. Funny thing is the wedding is on May 22 son May 24th I will be at the salon to to get my kinky twist back in bcause we have a destination wedding to attend May 29 in Riveria Maya. And I decided that I want to have a low maint hair style and you will have one too!!!! I cannot wait to see the pics!!!
BTW congrats on 10yrs!!!
