I’m so glad you guys are taking this reprieve (less pumping, lol) for yourselves. You deserve it, and God gives good gifts to his children; you were definitely not obligated to explain your abilities to handle this trip financially, but by sharing you showed how AWESOME of a steward you are being w/ your finances despite this sucky economy. I’m so proud of you for being humble and graciously sharing this with us. You guys go! And I look at you and Dave’s commitment to each other and it inspires me in my marriage life, so thanks for your honesty.

Love this post!!! I hope you have a blast!! How about the tankini and skirt bathing suits?! Love those!! I’m already thinking about planning our 20 year….4 years from now. Marriage is definitely not all peaches and cream and I tell you what, it is definitely something worth celebrating!!!!

Happy Anniversary, Dave and Grace!!

Grace, I loved every honest minute of your post. As for the vacation part, I understand. That’s how I feel about our house too. Praise God for his good gifts. Like you said, if you had known about the roof, then you would not have had this chance and he provided a new roof and a trip. Even though you don’t need to explain, it’s good to demonstrate with students and donors watching you your good financial stewardship.

I hope it’s excellent.

i understand you feeling like you need to explain the finances behind the trip. it’s frustrating, but we would feel the same way, if we ever got to take a vacay.

our 10th is this year, too, but no big trips for us. maybe a little one, with baby in tow.
