I am a Black Christian male in his mid-40’s who lives somewhere in California.

- The truth hurts – it even hurts me. – Love hurts sometime too. – Grace can be weird. – Justice can be uncomfortable. – Joy can be very inconvenient.  – I want to be a person of truth, love, grace, justice, and joy: this means I strive for a painful, weird, uncomfortable, inconvenient – and ultimately fulfilling – life.

The Sidewalk Theologian: I love to explore how the teachings of Jesus intersect with every area of life- body, mind, and spirit. I’m seeking to live out an integrated life and to encourage others to do the same through my blog (www.sidewalktheologian.com), my work with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship to help students share their faith in authentic and compelling ways, and in my relationships with others. I’m a married mom in my early thirties who doesn’t think it’s unusual to quote C.S. Lewis and Gwen Stefani in the same sentence.
